Wolfpack Selected for NCAA Athens Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The NC State gymnastics team has earned a berth in the NCAA Championship, as announced by the NCAA on Monday. The team will travel to Athens, Ga., for NCAA Regionals action in Stegeman Coliseum.
The 26th-ranked Wolfpack will face T-No. 35 Western Michigan on Thursday, April 1 at 3 p.m. in the first day of competition. The winner of the first round meet will move on to compete in the 7 p.m. session April 2 of the Athens Regional against T-No. 1 Florida, No. 16 Illinois and No. 25 Central Michigan.
NC State ranks 26th in the nation with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.250. The mark is the NQS highest in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL). The team posted five scores of 196.000 or higher during 2021 action, including a 196.900 that tied the third-highest score in program history.
