NATIONAL SUCCESS UNDER HOLLOWAY:
Since Braden Holloway took over as head coach at the start of the 2011-12 season, the Wolfpack has enjoyed unparalleled success in the pool. During the 2010-11 campaign, NC State did not score at the NCAA Championships. Since then, NC State's men have finished a program-best No. 4 at the national meet in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The team won a program-best five events in a single season at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
TOP MARKS:
NC State enters the meet with seven swims seeded in the top 16 on the official psych sheet and three relays seeded in the top eight in the nation.
Senior Eric Knowles qualified for a team-best three individual events, as he'll be competing in both distance freestyle events and in the 400-yard individual medley. He owns top 25 seeds in all three events.
Ross Dant adds to the Pack's attack in those distance freestyle races with top-10 seeds in both.
Kacper Stokowski is the No. 2 seed for the 100-yard backstroke with his time of 44.82.
