Shipp Named Golfweek Men’s College Player of the Week

Shipp won the Schenkel Invitation this past weekend by 11 shots
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men's golfer Benjamin Shipp was named Golfweek's Men's College Player of the Week on Monday.
Shipp won the 41st annual Schenkel Invitational held at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga., over the weekend. The NC State graduate shot six-under par 66 in the first and second round and a four-under par 68 in the final round Sunday to finish at 16-under par.
The Duluth, Ga., native dominated the field as he shot the lowest score of the field in every round on his way to an 11-shot victory.
Shipp's score of 16-under par is the lowest in relation to par in NC State history.
Shipp and his teammates return to action on Sunday, March 28 when it begins play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay in Awendaw, S.C.
