
Trent Hidlay to Wrestle for National Championship Saturday Night

Pack with four All-Americans overall, tying a school record
ST. LOUIS, MO. – NC State R-So. Trent Hidlay will wrestle for the 184-pound national championship tomorrow night, and three other Wolfpack All-Americans will compete in the medal rounds on the final day of the 2021 NCAA Championships.
Hidlay is the Pack's sixth NCAA Finalist in the last seven NCAA Championships.
With one day remaining at the 2021 NCAA Championships, the Pack secured four All-American finishes which ties the school record set in 2018.
Going into the final day of action tomorrow, NC State sits tied for sixth place (56.5).

With the first period wining down tied 0-0, Eirmann caught Wilson on a counter and scored a pin with just one second left in the period for the win.
Hayden Hidlay also fell in his semifinal matchup. Iowa State's Carr got a takedown in the first and both wrestlers traded escapes to make it 3-1 in the third. Carr added another takedown, which Hidlay reversed and gave the escape but couldn't find a late takedown in the 6-4 loss.
Trent Hidlay reached the NCAA Finals at his first NCAA Championships with a 2-1 OT win over Poznanski of Rutgers. Both wrestlers recorded an escape in regulation and it was tied 1-1 going into extra time. After no score in sudden victory, Hidlay used a ride out in the first 30 second tiebreaker and scored an escape for the winning point in the second tiebreaker.

Camacho fell one win shy of All-American honors, as he fell in the Blood Round to WVU's Cardinale. Each wrestler held a takedown and pair of escapes in regulation to go into OT tied 4-4. Cardinale got a 30 second ride out in the second set of tiebreakers for the one-point win.
In his final season, Bullard brought home All-American honors with a 7-0 shutout over Campbell's Murphy. After a scoreless first period, Bullard got an escape and a takedown and forced a pair of stalls for a 4-0 lead. He sealed the win with a late takedown.
CONSOLATION QUARTERFINALS RECAP

Bullard fell in the consolation quarterfinals and will wrestle in the Seventh Place match tomorrow. Nebraska's Labriola used a pair of takedowns in the first period and another in the third for the 7-4 win.
