RALEIGH – The 10th-ranked NC State women's tennis team (7-3, 2-2 ACC) will spent its weekend on the road for matches at Louisville and Notre Dame. The Wolfpack will take on the Cardinals at 12 p.m. on Friday and will then make the trip to play the Fighting Irish at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT:
NC State split its first two home matches of conference play last weekend. It picked up the 7-0 sweep over visiting Clemson to open the weekend before narrowly falling to No. 13 Georgia Tech, 4-3, in a top-15 matchup. Adriana Reami, Jaeda Daniel and Lexie Keberle all went unbeaten in singles action across the two matches.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
The Wolfpack checked in with the No. 10 ranking in the Wednesday release of the Oracle ITA Division I Team Rankings. NC State has been featured in the national top 15 every week since Feb. 26, 2019.
The Pack started the year with four players featured in the individual rankings. NC State boasts two top-20 doubles pairs - Anna Rogers/Alana Smith (No. 2) and Reami/Daniel (No. 16) - and three top-40 singles players - Smith (No. 23), Rogers (No. 35) and Reami (No. 38).
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE:
The Cardinals are 6-5 overall in 2021 dual matches and an even 3-3 in ACC competition. They are a perfect 4-0 in matches played on their home court. Louisville does not have any players in the national singles or doubles rankings.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME:
The Fighting Irish are also receiving votes in the national team rankings after entering the weekend with an 8-6 overall record and a 3-4 mark in ACC matches. The squad will host Wake Forest on Friday before welcoming the Pack to South Bend for Saturday's match.
Cameron Corse (No. 109) is ranked in singles, and she and Page Freeman are the nation's 19th-ranked doubles pair.
