Pack Has Four in Top-10 After a Full Day on Pinehurst No. 2

Sophomore Max Steinlechner leads NC State in a tie for fourth place

PINEHURST, N.C. – The NC State men's golf team has four members in the top-10 on the individual leaderboard after two rounds of play at the Wake Forest Invite held at Pinehurst No. 2.
Sophomore Max Steinlechner leads the Pack in a tie for fourth place at one-under par. Steinlechner was co-leader through one round after firing a two-under, 68. He is only of only golfers in the 66-player field to come in under-par through two rounds.
Benjamin Shipp and Easton Paxton are next for NC State at one-over par and in a tie for eighth place. Shipp fired the low round of the day for NC State, shooting a three-under par 67, while Paxton shot a two-under 68 in the second round.
Making his season debut, and playing unattached, sophomore Carter Graf is also in the top-10 on the individual leaderboard at one-over par after shooting a 70 and 73 on Monday.
Christian Salzer is in a tie for 42nd place at 10-over par while Spencer Oxendine rounds out the NC State lineup in a tie for 47th place at 13-over par.
As a team, NC State is in fourth place out of 12 teams. Tournament-host and second-ranked nationally, Wake Forest leads the field after shooting a two round team score of three-under par. North Carolina is in second-place, eight shots back of the Demon Deacons. Duke is in third place, one shot back of UNC and five shots ahead of the Pack.
