Shepard Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week

STEUBENVILLE, OHIO - Sophomore Emily Shepard has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The honor is Shepard's third of the season as she was named Gymnast of the Week for weeks one and two.

The Olathe, Kan., native posted a career night at NC State's Feb. 19 quad meet, tabbing the 13th-highest all-around score in program history with a 39.450. The mark was a career-best for Shepard, who has been the only member of the Wolfpack to compete in the all-around in every meet of the 2021 season so far.
Career high-tying performances on vault and floor set the tone for Shepard's night as the sophomore posted a 9.900 on both events. She was one of two members of the Wolfpack to score a 9.875 on bars, tying for second place on the event with temmate Katie Cox. Shepard's 9.775 on beam rounded out her scores for the night.
