#12 NC State Bests Old Dominion by 6-1 Score

RALEIGH – The 12th-ranked NC State women's tennis team (4-1) extended its winning streak to three matches as it easily defeated Old Dominion (2-4) by a 6-1 score on Friday afternoon.
NC State won the doubles point for the fourth time in its five matches with victories on courts one and three. Amelia Rajecki and Lana Mavor did not drop a game on their way to beating Shahar Biran and Alexandra Viktorovic 6-0 to start the afternoon.
Second-ranked Anna Rogers and Alana Smith sealed the deal for the Pack on the top doubles court in what was a top-10 matchup with eighth-ranked Yulia Starodubtseva and Alesya Yakubovich. The Wolfpack duo broke to go up 3-2, held for 4-2 and went on to secure the 6-4 decision to clinch the opening point.
The Pack went on to earn singles victories on five of six courts and clinched the match at 4-0 before dropping its one decision of the day.
Rogers, who is ranked 35th nationally, took momentum into singles action and picked up her ninth individual victory of the year. She earned the 6-1, 6-2 win over No. 40 Holly Hutchinson.
No. 38 Adriana Reami followed shortly after with a straight-sets win of her own, defeating Tatsiana Sasnouskaya 6-3, 6-4.
Jaeda Daniel put together a solid comeback performance on court four after dropping the first set. She surged back and took control of the match, winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 over Yakubovich, with her victory serving as the match clincher.
Lexi Keberle and Mavor both added super tiebreaker wins on courts five and six to round out the day. Keberle defeated Brooke Pilkington 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (9), and Mavor beat Viktorovic 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (4).
Old Dominion claimed its sole victory on court two.
NC State turns around to host a top-25 matchup with No. 21 Tennessee on Saturday afternoon. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
