Easton Paxton Leads Sea Best Invitational After Two Rounds

NC State in fifth place as a team, four shots out of second round
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLA. – NC State men's golf senior Easton Paxton posted back-to-back rounds of 68 on Monday and is in first place of the Sea Best Invitational held at TPC Sawgrass – Dye's Valley.
Paxton has opened a three-shot lead on the field with one round left to play on Tuesday. The Riverton, Wyo., native had four straight birdies at one point during his second round as he shot back-to-back rounds of two-under par.
As a team, NC State is in fifth place on the team leaderboard, but is just four shots back of second place.
Max Steinlechner is in a tie for 18th place at seven-over par.
Christian Salzer is next for the Pack at 10-over par and in for 29th place.
Nick Mathews, making his NC State debut is in a tie for 49th place at 14-over par.
Benjamin Shipp rounds out the Pack lineup in 52nd place, one shot back of Mathews.
The third and final round begins Tuesday morning with the Pack teeing off at 8:18 a.m.
