Kawagishi, Wohner Featured On TopDrawerSoccer’s Top 100 Freshmen List

RALEIGH – Emika Kawagishi and Annika Wohner of the NC State women's soccer team were featured on TopDrawerSoccer's Top 100 Freshmen List this week, as Kawagishi checked in at No. 29 and Wohner is ranked No. 45.

The midfielders were two of four freshmen on the team to start all 20 matches on the season, as they logged a combined 3,257 minutes in their first season with the Wolfpack. Additionally, they each garnered ACC All-Freshman Team honors for their stellar efforts in league play.

Kawagishi tallied two goals and two assists on the year, while Wohner notched six goals, including three game winners, to rank second on the team in the category and first among all freshmen.

Kawagishi assisted Wohner in her equalizer on October 7 at No. 4 Duke, which helped propel the Wolfpack to its 2-1 double overtime victory. Additionally, one of Wohner's two assists on the year was to Jameese Joseph's game winner in NC State's 1-0 win over No. 3 North Carolina.
