RALEIGH – NC State volleyball could not slow down a hot-hitting Syracuse, falling to the Orange 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 29-27) in Atlantic Coast Conference action inside of Reynolds Coliseum on Wednesday afternoon.
The Wolfpack (15-13, 9-8 ACC) fought hard throughout the match, including putting up a valiant effort in the third to nearly force a fourth set but the Orange (17-13, 6-12 ACC) kept its composure to hold off and win the match.
Leading the charge for the Pack was junior Taylor Rowland who recorded her eighth double-double of the season with a team-high 19 kills on .283 hitting with a team-high 15 digs. Graduate student Melissa Evans followed behind with her sixth double-double of the season in 18 kills, hitting .317 alongside 11 digs.
