
Wolfpack to Host Fall Invite at Greensboro Aquatic Center

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Wolfpack will welcome a solid group of squads to the Greensboro Aquatic Center this weekend as it hosts the NC State Fall Invitational. The meet is set to run Thursday through Saturday, with prelims starting at 9:30 a.m. each day and finals beginning at 5:30 p.m. each night.
MEET INFO:
NC State, ranked No. 2 on the men's side and No. 3 on the women's side, will compete with eight other programs in the midseason meet.
No. 15/20 Arizona State, 16/6 Stanford, No. 25/18 North Carolina, Duke (No. 22 women), Penn State, and Army are all competing this weekend. James Madison, George Washington, and UNC-Wilmington will also send divers to the meet to round out the field.
Admission to the meet is free. All spectators must wear masks at all times. Finals will run five heats, with the A, B and C finals for each event scoring points. Only the A and B relay heats will score. A full list of the event order for each day of competition is below.

LAST TIME OUT:
NC State last saw action in the pool at the Auburn Tri Meet, where the Wolfpack came home with victories on both the men's and women's sides after sweeping both Auburn and Kentucky.
The Wolfpack men highlighted the top of the results with a stunning seven podium sweeps, dropping just one event en route to their victory over both teams. On the women's side, NC State finished the meet with top times in eight individual events and won both the 200 Medley and 400 Freestyle relays.
Wolfpack senior Kylee Alons brought home titles in three individual events and freshman Sam Hoover won the 100-yard freestyle for the Pack men, marking the first win of his college career.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its latest national poll this afternoon. The NC State men moved up two spots in the rankings to take No. 2, behind Texas. The Wolpack women are holding strong in the No. 3 spot behind No. 1 Virginia and No. 2 Texas.
The Pack men boast the highest-ranked squad in the ACC and the NC State women are ranked second in the conference, behind No. 1 Virginia.
UP NEXT:
Eight members of NC State's squad will head to Fina Short Course World Championships in Abu Dhabi, held Dec. 16-21, to wrap up the 2021 calendar year for the Pack.
