
Pack Sets Program Record Against Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – No. 14 NC State rifle nearly took down No. 9 Navy on Friday but came up just short, as the Pack dropped a 4699-4672 decision.
The Wolfpack (1-4) registered its seventh-highest aggregate score in program history, compiled by a 2304 smallbore and a program-best 2368 air rifle score. Navy fired a 2324 smallbore while adding a 2375 air rifle score to its total.
Addy Burrow led the way for the Pack as she placed third overall in the match with an aggregate score of 1175 which included a 579 smallbore and a career-high 596 air rifle. Burrow's 596 air rifle total places her tied for the fifth-best air rifle performance in program history.
Following behind Burrow was Travis Stockton who placed fourth overall with a 581 smallbore, 593 air rifle for an 1174 aggregate, all of which are season highs. Burrow's air rifle score was the best in the match and Stockton's smallbore score was third overall.
In smallbore, Ben Salas tied with Burrow as he fired a 579 as well while Roman Karadsheh tied his career high with a 578. Katie Tedeschi rounded out the scoring in smallbore with a 568. Aliya Butt posted a 590 in air rifle, her season high while Tedeschi added a 589, helping NC State set its air rifle program record.
