NC State has been ranked in top-10 in 83 straight polls

RALEIGH, N.C. – Looking to capture a fourth straight ACC Championship, the NC State Wrestling team will open the 2021-22 season at #5 in the preseason NWCA Coaches Poll.

The Pack has now been ranked in the top-10 in the NWCA Coaches Poll 83 straight times, dating back to the early portion of the 2015-16 season. NC State has posted a top-10 finish in the final poll each of the last six seasons: #7 last year with a 7-1 dual record, #3 in 2020, #10 in 2019, #6 in 2018, #7 in 2017 and #2 in 2016.

Dating back over the past six seasons, NC State has won 88 of its 97 duals (90.7 percent). That winning percentage sits third-best in the NCAA over that span, and the 88 duals victories lead the nation since 2015-16.

The Wolfpack will open its season this Saturday at The Citadel Open. The first dual of the season will be in Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday, Nov. 21 vs. West Virginia at 1 p.m.
