LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The NC State men's soccer team closed out its regular-season road slate on Friday, falling to Louisville in a 2-1 decision.
Two early saves by Leon Krapf kept the score tied up at 0-0. Pepe Garcia got NC State's best look of the first half in the 28th minute, but Louisville goalkeeper Detre Bell was able to make the save to keep the Pack scoreless.
The Cardinals converted in the 37th minute behind a goal by Pedro Fonseca. Fonseca's goal was the only one of the first half.
After halftime, the Wolfpack got several good looks. Yaniv Bazini and AJ Seals each took shots before Kuda Muskwe launched one off a Seals corner kick. Bell was able to make the save to prevent the Pack from making the score.
Luke Hille netted his fifth goal of the season to knot the score up in the 68th minute, receiving a pass from Santos and weaving between defenders to get NC State on the board.
Four minutes later, in the 72nd minute, Louisville's Aboubacar Camara scored his 13th goal of the season to take back the lead for the Cardinals.
One matchup remains in the regular season for NC State. Boston College will make the trip to Raleigh Friday, Oct. 29 on Senior Night.
