SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 5-4-1)
• Tuesday marks the 11th overall meeting between NC State and William & Mary. Prior to last season's adjusted schedule with the COVID-19 pandemic, the teams had faced each other three campaigns in a row dating back to 2017.
• NC State last took on William & Mary on Sept. 10, 2019. That match ended in a 1-1 draw.
• The Pack earned the most recent victory in the series between the two teams, a 2-1 overtime decision at Dail Soccer Stadium in 2018.
• NC State is undefeated (4-0-0) at home when hosting the Tribe.
LAST TIME OUT
• NC State came up just short to visiting Virginia on Friday night, falling 2-1 to the Cavaliers in its sixth ACC match of the season.
• The teams were deadlocked in nearly every statistical category following the first half, but Virginia took control in the early minutes of the second half with goals in the 54th minute and the 58th minute.
• Jamie Smith drew his team within one in the 63rd with his third free kick goal of the season. He fired the ball on target to the far side of the goal, and it tapped the crossbar before falling down into the net.
• NC State forced Virginia goal keeper Holden Brown into three saves in the final 15 minutes of the outing.
• In total, the Wolfpack out-shot the Cavaliers 11-10, with five of its strikes coming on target.
TRACKING THE PACK (6-5-2, 0-4-2 ACC)
• The Pack's 162 shot attempts have been distributed among 17 different players, led by 27 strikes from Henrique Santos and Kuda Muskwe.
• Eleven different players have found the back of the net in 2021, with Luke Hille and Muskwe's four goals apiece pacing the team.
• Jamie Smith has scored all three of his goals this year on free kicks. His two-goal game against JMU on Sept. 14 marked the first time in the Kiefer era that more than one goal has been tallied by a single defender in a game.
• NC State has held four of its opponents scoreless this season and held another four to just a single score.
