RALEIGH, N.C. – The Pack will finish up a three-game homestand, hosting Louisiana Tech at Carter-Finley Stadium Saturday night.
Â
The game will kick at 6 p.m., and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra/ESPN+
Â
Ranked #23 by the Associated Press this week and the highest ranked team in the ACC, the Pack (3-1) is coming off one of its biggest wins in recent memory as NC State defeated then-#9 Clemson 27-21 in overtime last time out.
Â
"It was a championship environment," said Doeren. "It's what we need. It's what this team can feed off of.
Â
"In the game, I thought offense and defense really played off of each other and helped each other at really critical times in the game, responded to what happened on the other side of the ball, nobody flinched."
Â
NC State must live by the 24-hour rule, win or lose, move onto the next game. For the final time in 2021 the Pack will face a non-conference foe before seven straight ACC contests to finish the season.
Â
NC State and Louisiana Tech will only be meeting for the second time in the history of the two programs. Back in 2013, NC State defeated the Bulldogs in Carter-Finley Stadium 40-14. The game marked Doeren's first game as the leader of the Wolfpack, and also Bulldog's Skip Holtz's first game at La. Tech.
Â
"I have a lot of respect for Skip," said Doeren. "I've gotten to know him through the Adidas relationship and obviously spent a lot of time in North Carolina and memories of NC State with his dad, time he had an ECU, so you have great respect for Skip and enjoyed getting to know him."
