MEET INFO:
MEET NOTEBOOK:
• The meet marks the fifth and final dual of the season for NC State. The Pack men remain undefeated both in dual action and invitational action this year. The Wolfpack women have dropped just one decision, a narrow loss to the Virginia Cavaliers last week that came down to the final relay.
• The Hokies and the Wolfpack have matched up in dual-meet action a total of four times in the Holloway ear. The teams competed three seasons in a row from 2011-12 to 2013-14, and last season's meeting was their first in six years.
• The teams last faced each other on Feb. 1, 2020 in Blacksburg for what was last year's regular-season finale. The Pack came away from that road meet with the sweep, as the men outscored the Hokies 178-120 and the women outscored the Hokies 181-114.
• NC State's women have won the last three meetings with the Hokies. Last year's victory for the Pack men was their first over Virginia Tech under the leadership of Holloway.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
• In the January release of the CSCAA poll, both NC State squads remained ranked in the national top 10.
• No. 6 Wolfpack women: fell two spots in the latest poll after previously being ranked No. 4. NC State still owns the second-highest ranking of any ACC women's program after No. 2 Virginia.
• No 6 Wolfpack men: maintained spot as the highest-ranked ACC men's program.
UP NEXT:
The Pack will begin preparation for the 2021 ACC Swimming and Diving Championship meets, which will once again be contested at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The women's championship will take place Feb. 17-20, with the men competing the following week from Feb. 24-27.
