Shepard, Jordan Earn EAGL Weekly Awards

STEUBENVILLE, OHIO - Sophomore Emily Shepard and freshman Carina Jordan have each earned East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) weekly honors for the first week of the 2021 season, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Shepard was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week for the first time in her career after posting a career-high all-around score of 39.225. The sophomore tabbed an individual title on floor (9.850) in addition to podium finishes on vault (9.725) and beam (9.800). Her beam score was also good for a career best.

Jordan was awarded her first EAGL weekly award laurels as she was named Co-Rookie of the Week with Towson's Allison Zuhlke. The Millbrook, Ala., native competed in the all-around at her first collegiate meet, posting a 38.750. Her highest-scoring event of the meet was bars, where she recorded a 9.800.
