NC State Cross Country to Kick Off Season at Virginia Tech

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's and women's cross country teams will begin 2020 action Friday, Sept. 25 in Blacksburg, Va., at a tri-meet with Virginia Tech and Duke. Additional competitions will be announced at a later date. No spectators, including parents, will be permitted at the meet.

NC State will field up to 16 men's runners and up to 16 women's runners, and unattached and non-team entries will not be allowed at the meet.

6:00 p.m. - Men's 8K
PACK IN THE ACC PRESEASON POLL:
The Wolfpack women enter the season selected to finish first in the Atlantic Cost Conference for the fifth-straight season, while the men are predicted to finish fourth in the league.
LOOKING BACK AT 2019:
Both team posted top-three finishes at the NCAA Southeast Regional, with the women taking the regional title for the fourth consecutive season. Two men and six women tabbed All-Region laurels. At Nationals, the Wolfpack men finished 26th while the women posted a fifth-place finish, their best since 2016.
Laurie Henes earned multiple postseason honors, including her fourth-straight ACC Coach of the Year accolade. She additionally was named NCAA Southeast Regional Coach of the Year for the fifth time.
