Eleven Gymnasts Named WCGA Academic All-Americans

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Eleven members of the NC State gymnastics team were named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Academic All-Americans, as announced by the WCGA on Tuesday.

To be named a WCGA Academic All-American, a gymnast must maintain a 3.5 overall grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average for 2019-20.

Graduated seniors Melissa Brooker and Hailey Mesmer each attained the honor for the fourth time in their careers, followed by graduated senior Drew Grantham and senior Lauren Kent who earned their third All-American honors.

Victoria Prati, Meredith Robinson, Alexis Sheppard and Haley Zarett tabbed their second honors while Kasey Nelson, Nicole Webb and freshman Chloe Negrete all garnered the accolades for the first time in their careers.
