Wolfpack Leads League with 19 All-EAGL Honors

DURHAM, N.H. – The NC State gymnastics team earned 19 All-EAGL accolades earned by eight gymnasts, as announced by the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) office on Friday. The 19 honors mark the most by a team in the league this season.
The First Team All-EAGL in each event and in all-around are comprised of the top-8 ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the nine-week regular season. Second Team All-EAGL in each event and in all-around is comprised of the No. 9 -No. 16 ranked gymnasts from the regular season.
The Wolfpack earned 12 First Team All-EAGL honors, the most in the league, and seven Second Team All-EAGL honors, tying for the most in the EAGL with New Hampshire and George Washington. Five of the eight First Team All-EAGL bars honorees are members of the Wolfpack.
Drew Grantham led the team with four All-EAGL honors, all of which were first team laurels. Grantham earned First Team All-EAGL on floor and all-around for the third consecutive year, on beam for the second time and on bars for the first time.
Alexis Beucler, Lauren Kent, Chloe Negrete and Emily Shepard each earned three honors while Katie Cox, Kasey Nelson and Meredith Robinson garnered one accolade each.
Beucler tabbed First Team All-EAGL honors on floor as well as Second Team All-EAGL on vault and beam.
Kent received first team accolades on bars for the second straight year, first team in all-around for the first time and second team on beam for the second consecutive year.
Negrete attained a spot on the All-EAGL first team on beam as well as second team honors on vault and floor.
Shepard achieved a pair of first team honors as she was named to the vault and bars teams. She additionally earned a spot on the All-EAGL Second Team on floor.
Cox's first-team honors were earned on bars.
Nelson claimed a spot on the All-EAGL second team on floor.
Robinson attained First Team All-EAGL on bars.
