15 Wolfpack Gymnasts Named to EAGL All-Academic Team

DURHAM, N.H. - 15 members of the NC State gymnastics team have been named to the East Atlantic Gymnastic League (EAGL) All-Academic Team for the 2019 calendar year, as announced by the league office on Monday.
The EAGL All-Academic team is made up of 90 student-athletes from the league's six member institutions. In order to be honored as an Academic Team member, a gymnast must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the 2019 calendar year. Freshmen are eligible with the Fall 2019 semester grades only.
"At North Carolina State University, our team understands that they are scholar-athletes," said head coach Kim Ladnrus. "They work tirelessly to be extraordinary ambassadors of this University, academically, athletically and in the community. These qualities reflect the greatness they possess. Placing 15 student-athletes on the All-EAGL Academic team signifies the great works academically that they have accomplished this past year. As their coach, I am so proud of them. I am thankful to work with such dedicated and committed student-athletes.
Seniors Melissa Brooker, Drew Grantham and Hailey Mesmer have been named to the All-Academic Team all four years.
Lauren Kent, Victoria Prati and Kasey Nelson have each garnered the honor three times, and Alliah Harrison, Meredith Robinson, Alexis Sheppard, Sara Watson, and Haley Zarett have garnered the accolade twice
Chloe Negrete, Alexis Ortega, Emily Shepard and Nicole Webb have each been named to the EAGL All-Academic Team as well.
