Charleston Wins ACC Title on Final Day of ACC Indoor Track & Field

SOUTH BEND, IND. - Senior sprinter Cravont Charleston led the way for the Wolfpack in the final day of the 2020 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Charleston won the 60 meter title and won first-team All-ACC honors in the 200 meters.
It marked the fifth ACC title for the Charlotte native and the two first-team all-conference honors for the day gives him nine honors for his career. He won the 60M with a mark of 6.58 and clocked in at 20.91 to finish third in the 200M.
On the women's side, junior Michelle Cobb posted a podium finish in the triple jump to win her fourth All-ACC honor. The Asheville native finished third with a 12.86 (24'2-1/4") mark.Â
Nevada Mareno turned in a fourth-place finish in the women's mile, clocking in at 4:42.14 to win second-team all-league honors.
The Pack women finished fifth and sixth in the women's 3000 meters, with sophomore Savannah Shaw running a 9:19.71 (5th) and Kelsey Chmiel posting a 9:22.37 (6th).
Others scoring for the Wolfpack on the final day of competition at the Loftus Sports Center including Kyle Durham, who finished seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.21, and Chris Alexander, who posted a PR of 15.64 (51'3-3/4") to finish sixth in the triple jump - a second-team All-ACC performance.Â
The men finished seventh in the team scoring with a total of 34 points, while the women tied for eighth with 44 points.Â
