Grantham, Shepard Garner EAGL Weekly Accolades

BETHESDA, MD. - Senior Drew Grantham has been named EAGL Gymnast of the Week and freshman Emily Shepard has been named EAGL Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. The honor marks the second consecutive week that Grantham has earned Gymnast of the Week and the first time that Shepard has achieved Rookie of the Week.

Grantham posted two 9.925 scores on floor at each of NC State's last two meets, a tri-meet with William & Mary and Centenary on Feb. 21 in which the Wolfpack posted a 196.500 as well as a quad-meet at George Washington with Northern Illinois and Temple on Feb. 23 in which NCS tate recorded a 196.025. The floor marks tied her career best and earned her first-place finishes in the event at both meets. The Durham, N.C. native additionally took first place on beam on Feb. 21 with a 9.850 and recorded a career-high bars score of 9.850. Her 39.450 all-around score on Feb. 21 was good for a first-place finish and a season-best mark.Â
