In addition to the home runs, the Wolfpack set a school single-game record with seven stolen bases, led by Sam Russ' career-high three.
Rizzi's walk off was her first homer of the season, while it was the second for April Visser and Randi Farricker. Logan Morris now leads the team with three on the season.
It was a stellar day at the plate as well for Russ who went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Additionally, her career-high three stolen bases, moved her into second all-time at NC State in career stolen bases. The junior has 11 in 2020 through the first 10 games and is just 26 behind Shanna Smith's school career-record 86.
With her stolen base in the first inning, Sam Russ is now 𝖘𝖊𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖉 all-time at NC State with 58 career stolen bases.

Despite the offense taking center stage, senior Devin Wallace pitched a stellar game earning her third win of the season. Wallace (3-2) pitched five innings, allowing just one run on one hit with seven strikeouts. It was Wallace's second win this season when not allowing a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pack offense struck quick with a 5-0 lead in the first inning off Morris and Farricker's home runs.
Elon took one run back on a solo homer from Megan White in the bottom of the first, the only hit Wallace gave up. Visser kept the offense going with a home run of her own to lead off the second inning, followed by a single from Russ. Russ quickly advanced to third on a stolen base and Elon throwing error. Forbes picked up an RBI on a groundout that scored Russ from third for a 7-1 Wolfpack lead.
NC State tacked on an eighth run in the bottom of the fifth where RIzzi led off the inning with a single to left field. She then stole second and moved to third on another Elon throwing error. A single from Farricker brought in Rizzi for a seven-run Wolfpack lead.
Sydney Nester entered the game in the sixth inning to pitch, allowing three runs to Elon on three hits. Following three-straight singles from Russ, Forbes and Morris in the sixth, Rizzi came to the plate with a 9-4 Wolfpack lead. On the first pitch she saw, Rizzi blasted the ball over the center field fence, ending the game on a run-rule.
OF NOTE
- Rizzi has reached base in every game this season, while both Sam Russ and Tatyana Forbes extend their hitting streaks to five games.
- The team's seven stolen bases are tied for the eighth-most across the NCAA this season.
