
Sangkapong Turns In Career-Best Showing at Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Senior Mim Sangkapong of the NC State women's golf team collected the best finish of her career on Tuesday at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, finishing in a tie for third after shooting a two-over par 75 for a tournament total of 214 (-5).
As a team, the Wolfpack earned its best finish of the season with a sixth-place showing. The squad turned in a 304 (+12) for a season-low 881 (+5). No. 10 Florida (853, -23) captured the tournament title while Miami (869, -7) and Michigan State (875, -1) rounded out the podium.
Monika Hartl carded her third consecutive top 20 finish of the season, finishing T17th with a combined one-under 218 after shooting a one-over 74. Additionally, Natalie Armbruester captured the best showing of her career at T30th after shooting a 78 (+5) for a tournament score of 223 (+4).
Pilar Berchot also earned a career-best finish with her T55th placement. She shot a 79 (+6) on Tuesday en route to a 229 (+10) total for the week. Lea Klimentova rounded out the lineup with a T58th finish and combined 239 (+11) with her final round score of 77 (+4).
The Pack returns to action March 10-11 at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, hosted by Hawaii in Kailua, Hawaii.
