
Pack Moves Up Two Spots on Day Two of the Puerto Rico Classic

RALEIGH, NC – The NC State men's golf team shot a team score of even-par on Monday to move up two spots on the leaderboard at the Puerto Rico Classic held at the Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
NC State is now three shots over-par for the tournament and is in ninth place, one shot back of a two-team for seventh place.
Georgia Tech has a one-shot lead over Oklahoma for first place as the two top-ranked teams have broken away from the field.
Easton Paxton continues to pace the Pack contingent. The Riverton, Wyo., native is in a tie for 23rd place at two-under par for the tournament.
Graduate student Brett McLamb is next for the Pack after shooting a one-under par 71 on Monday. He is now one-under for the tournament and in a tie for 32nd place.
Benjamin Shipp rebounded from his first round with a two-under par 70 in the second round. He moved up to 42nd on the leaderboard with a score of two-over par for the tourney.
Christian Salzer is next for the Pack, two shots back of Shipp in a tie for 51st place.
Freshman Carter Graf rounds out the NC State lineup in 73rd place.
The third and final round begins Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
