TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State women's tennis team (11-2) continues to soar to new heights, as it has earned its highest ranking in program history in the latest edition of the Oracle/ITA Division I rankings. The squad checks in at No. 5.
Overall, the ACC has six teams featured in the top 25, and NC State stands behind only No. 1 North Carolina and No. 4 Florida State among conference teams.
The ranking comes after an impressive weekend at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, where the Pack posted a 2-1 record, all against top-25 teams, including a 4-1 upset over No. 3 Georgia. The win over the Bulldogs marked the program's highest-ranked victory in its history.
The Pack has not wavered outside the top 10 this season and has defeated two top-10 teams (No. 3 Georgia, No. 9 South Carolina).
The Pack also checks in at No. 5 in the latest USTA rankings, which also registers as the highest team mark in program history.
