Negrete Earns Second Consecutive EAGL Rookie of the Week Honors

BALTIMORE, MD. - Freshman Chloe Negrete has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, for the second consecutive week.

The Frisco, Texas native recorded a 9.925 on beam in NC State's meet with EAGL opponent Pittsburgh on Saturday. The score marks her first career 9.900 or higher score and was good for a second place finish in the event.
Negrete additionally tied her career-best vault score with a 9.800 and bested her career high on floor with a 9.875. Her score on floor tied her for second place on the rotation.
The Wolfpack returns to action Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m., hosting EAGL teams New Hampshire and North Carolina for its Pink Meet.
