Hunter Tapp Named ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After the opening weekend of competition for the Wolfpack, NC State swimming sophomore Hunter Tapp was honored as ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday.
A two-time All-American from the 2019-20 campaign, the weekly award marked the first of Tapp's early NC State career.
The sprint freestyler put on a show as he picked up top finishes in all three individual events that he competed in. He touched first in the 50-yard (20.51), 100-yard (44.16) and 150-yard (1:10.85) freestyle events to help lead the fourth-ranked NC State men's squad to the team victory over rival UNC.
The Louisville, Ky., native also swam the second leg (19.94) of NC State's 200-yard freestyle relay, which placed second at the meet in an overall time of 1:21.62.
