Pack Welcomes No. 3 Clemson to Raleigh Friday Evening

RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (0-4-0, 0-3-0 ACC) will round out its three-game home stretch on Friday evening as it hosts third-ranked Clemson (4-1-0, 2-1-0 ACC). Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. from Dail Soccer Stadium, and the game will be televised nationally on the ACC Network.

Due to health and safety recommendations and current state guidelines, attendance at NC State men's soccer home competitions is limited to a pass list of player and coach guests only. No tickets are available to the general public.

• After dropping its ACC opener against North Carolina in the 90th minute, Clemson has won back-to-back conference games, including a victory against No. 1 Wake Forest.
• Kimarni Smith leads the team in points with two goals and two assists on the year.
• The team ranks in the top five nationally in multiple statistical categories including: save percentage (.813 - 4th), shots per game (16.4 - 2nd), shots on goal per game (6.4 - 5th) and team goals against average (.729 - 4th).
• Goalie George Marks ranks in the top five nationally in goals against average (.694 - 5th) and save percentage (.786 - 4th).

SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 15-39-7)
• Friday marks the 62nd overall meeting between NC State and Clemson. The squads have faced off at least once ever season since their first meeting in 1967.
• The Wolfpack has won just one of its last 11 matches against the Tigers. In 2017, Kiefer's first season at the helm of the program, NC State upset then-No. 3 Clemson by a 1-0 score at home.
• NC State and Clemson last met on Nov. 1, 2019 for the regular season finale. The Tigers won that matchup in Raleigh by a 3-0 count.

RANKED OPPONENT RECORD
NC State has picked up six victories over ranked opponents during the Kiefer era. Four of those six wins were against top-five foes.
