• The squads last met on Jan. 13, 2019 in Charlottesville, as NC State defeated Virginia 66-38.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Since the renovation of Reynolds Coliseum was completed in August 2016, NC State is 55-6 on Kay Yow Court. That record includes 36 consecutive victories over non-conference opponents and 19 out of 25 possible league wins.
PACK TRACKS
• Elissa Cunane continues to average a double-double on the season. She has scored 20+ points in four of the Pack's last seven outings and hit a career-high mark of 28 points in two of those games (against Elon on Dec. 15 and Virginia Tech on Jan. 2). The sophomore center has scored in double figures in all but two games this season.
• 23 of Cunane's 28 points against Virginia Tech were scored in the second half. She shot an impressive 8-of-11 from the field and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe in the final 20 minutes of that contest.
• Kayla Jones was also able to overcome early shooting struggles in the Pack's game against Virginia Tech. The junior started the game 0-of-4 from the field before scoring all 11 of her points in the second half. She also hauled in eight of her 11 rebounds in the last 20 minutes of the game on her way to posting the third double-double of her season and of her career.
• Kai Crutchfield and Aislinn Konig made the difference in the second quarter against Virginia Tech on Jan. 2. The guards scored 16 points in a row for the Wolfpack to cut into the Hokies' lead and set the team up for its eventual comeback victory.
• Through the first two games of conference play, Konig has come up big for NC State in lots of key moments. The senior went on a one-woman 8-0 run against Virginia Tech to help dig NC State out of its 14-point deficit. She did the same in the Pack's victory over Boston College when the Eagles got as close as five points in the middle of the third quarter.
• Kaila Ealey closed out non-conference play with one of her most productive outings since returning from last season's injury. She dished out eight assists in the Dec. 19 game against Chattanooga, just one assist off of her career high, and did not turn the ball over a single time in over 20 minutes of time on the court.
• NC State has won the battle of the boards in 10 of 13 games this season. In those 10 games, the Pack averages over 48 rebounds and owns a nearly 17-rebound advantage per game.
CLIMBING THE CAREER THREES LIST
Konig took sole possession of second place in program history for career three-pointers made in the Wolfpack's last game. She nailed four from long range against Virginia Tech to put her career mark at 243 threes in 101 career games. Jennifer Howard owns the program's top mark of 315.
