RALEIGH, N.C. – The #12 NC State Rifle team welcomes #7 Nebraska to Reynolds Coliseum this weekend for an exciting top-15 matchup on Feb. 2. The matchup serves as NC State's final regular-season competition in addition to senior day for the Wolfpack's two seniors, Claire Zanti and Zach Eisenberg.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. with the small bore event beginning at 8:45. Air Rifle will take place at 11:30, with the senior day recognition following. Finals begins at 1:15 p.m. Admission is free in addition to a t-shirt giveaway following the completion of air rifle.
NC State is coming off two solid performances last weekend, which included the Pack's third highest score of the season, 4666, against Ole Miss. Sophomore Emily Fisher recorded back-to-back aggregate scores of 1174, finishing second against the Rebels and first against #17 UT Martin.
Sunday will also serve as NC State's last chance to improve its NCAA Qualifying score. The NCAA Qualifier score is made up of two parts with the first 50 percent coming from an average of the team's top three scores, from different locations. The remaining half comes from the team score at the NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 22. NC State is currently 12th with a 4665.33 and will look to make a move into the top eight to qualify for the National Championship.
