No. 13 Rifle Faces Top-15 Opponents to Open 2020 Action

RALEIGH - The No. 13 NC State rifle team begins spring competition this weekend, competing against Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) opponents Kentucky Jan. 18 and Army Jan. 19 in West Point, N.Y.
No. 3 Kentucky did not drop a match in fall competition, claiming the top scores at every matchup. The Wildcats have multiple top-15 wins from fall action, including wins over then-No. 5 Mississippi and then-No. 6 Akron.
12th-ranked Army will face off against Kentucky Jan. 18 in their first matchup of 2020 before taking on the Wolfpack.
FALL REWIND
NC State reached its highest ranking in program history at No. 9 during fall competition after notching the second-best score in program history, 4675, against then-No. 12 Memphis on Nov. 11.
The Wolfpack wrapped up the fall 2019 part of its schedule at then-No. 2 West Virginia with senior Emily Fisher shooting a career-high 588 in smallbore and 1175 aggregate and freshman Makenzie Sheffield.
UP NEXT
NC State travels to Oxford, Miss. to take on Mississippi Jan. 25 and then makes the trip to Murray, Ky. for a matchup with UT-Martin Jan. 26.
