RALEIGH – The No. 8 NC State women's tennis team is set to open its dual season on Wednesday, Jan. 15, taking on Furman (1 p.m.) and East Tennessee State (6 p.m.) at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.

RECORD-BREAKER:
Adriana Reami became the program's all-time winningest singles player over the weekend at the Orlando Invitational, tallying her 90th win of her career on Friday to put her name at the top of the record book.
Anna Rogers holds the NC State record for all-time doubles wins.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS:
The squad is tabbed at No. 8 in the latest edition of the Oracle/ITA Division I rankings, which registers as the highest ranking in program history.
Rogers checks in as the highest ranked player for the Pack at No. 18, while Reami is the is ranked 23rd, the highest ranking of her career. Rounding out the NC State singles rankings is Alana Smith at No. 31 which is also a career-best.
Rogers and Smith stand atop the national doubles rankings, checking in at No. 1. The duo reached the NCAA Doubles Championships Elite Eight last season. They are joined by 22nd-ranked Jaeda Daniel and Reami.
PACK AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS:
Across the board, the squad didn't just collect wins over the course of the fall season: it collected quality wins. 19 of the Pack's 68 singles wins came against ranked opponents, and six players collected at least one ranked victory (Lexi Keberle, Lana Mavor, Liz Norman, Reami, Rogers, Smith).
Four players collected multiple wins in the category and posted winning records (Keberle, Reami, Rogers, Smith).
The team posted an impressive 35-17 (.673) record in doubles this fall with a 9-1 mark against ranked opponents. Daniel and Reami boast a perfect 6-0 resume in the category, including two wins against top-five opponents. Teammates Rogers and Smith contributed to the Pack's ranked doubles wins with a 3-1 resume. All three wins were against top-30 opponents.
2020 ROSTER RUNDOWN:
NC State returns a strong group that includes All-American and all-conference performers Rogers and Smith, as well as All-ACC honoree Reami and returners Norman and Dylan Cannon. The program welcomes transfers Daniel and Keberle, who will bring experience to the Pack, as well as freshmen Marta Gonzalez-Ballbe and Mavor.
LOOKING BACK AT 2018-19:
The squad broke program records for total wins in a season (24) and conference wins in a season (11), and the Pack women's tennis program had its first two All-American citations as it collected a 24-7 overall record. Hosting the first and round of the NCAA Championships, NC State advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in program history.
Simon Earnshaw was named the 2019 ACC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
SCOUTING FURMAN:
Furman went 26-2 last season and advanced to the NCAA Championships before being eliminated in the first round, and also won their third-straight Southern Conference championship.
The Wolfpack last matched up with the Paladins in 2017, capturing a 6-1 win at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. NC State leads the all-time series, 13-9.
Featured in the singles rankings for Furman is Katarina Kozarov (No. 13). In doubles, the Paladins are represented by No. 23 Julia Adams and Madison Dillon and No. 30 Katarina Kozarov and Julia Adams.
SCOUTING EAST TENNESSEE STATE:
East Tennessee State posted a 13-11 overall record last season, and fell to Furman in the Southern Conference Championship final.
NC State holds a perfect 5-0 all-time record against the Buccaneers, including a 7-0 sweep last season.
