#Pack9 Powers Past South Carolina In Fall Scrimmage

RALEIGH – NC State baseball played a 12-inning fall scrimmage against South Carolina on Sunday afternoon at Doak Field in Raleigh, N.C., and won by a score of 15-5.
Luca Tresh and Jose Torres led the Wolfpack's offense with 3-for-5 outings at the plate, as Tresh homered twice and Torres was a double short of hitting for the cycle.
Tyler McDonough additionally homered in the contest, while Austin Murr turned in a multi-hit performance (2-for-3) to contribute to the team's combined 18 hits.
Eight different pitchers saw action on the mound and fanned a combined 12 batters. Chris Villaman, who led the staff with four strikeouts in two innings of work, along with Sam Highfill, Logan Bender and Kent Klyman did not allow a run to score in their respective appearances.
NC State will play its other scrimmage of the fall on Sun., Oct. 6 at UNCW. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C.
