RALEIGH – NC State baseball's fall scrimmage versus South Carolina Sunday has been pushed up one hour to a 2 p.m. first pitch at Doak Field at Dail Park. Admission is FREE.
This is the second year the NCAA is allowing Division I baseball teams to play two scrimmages against outside competition, as the Wolfpack will also travel to UNCW Oct. 6 for a 12 p.m. contest (free admission).
South Carolina finished 28-28 last season, and fell to LSU in the opening round of the SEC Tournament. The Gamecocks return outfielder Andrew Eyster at the plate (.309 BA, 51 H, 29 R, 10 HR, 32 RBI), and Brett Kerry on the mound (2.62 ERA, 4-1, 58.1 IP, 65 SO, 7 SV).
NC State, who remained nationally ranked the entire season, finished 42-19 and earned its ninth NCAA Regional bid in the last 10 years (Greenville, N.C.). It was the second consecutive year and 10th time under head coach Elliott Avent that the program has posted 40+ wins in a single season.
2020 season tickets are now on sale, and fans can purchase them on site Sunday. They can also be found at GoPack.com/BuyTickets. In addition to purchasing season tickets online, Wolfpack fans can call the NC State Athletics Ticket Office at 919-865-1510.
