Wolfpack Moves Up To 10th On Second Day Of Golfweek Conference Challenge

WOLCOTT, Colo. – Three NC State women's golf players shaved strokes off of their previous round at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Tuesday, helping the Wolfpack turn in a team score of 295, a two-stroke improvement from Monday, and move up to 10th place out of 18 teams.
Ole Miss (561, -15), host Denver (573, -3) and San Diego State (575, -1) round out the top three of the team standings at Red Sky Club's Fazio Course in Wolcott, Colo.
Freshmen Inja Fric and Natalie Armbruester paced the squad with career-low scores of 71 (-1) and 72 (E), respectively. Fric moved 15 spots up the leaderboard to T17th while Armbruester jumped 18 spots to a tie for 42nd.
Lea Klimentova also improved her placement after carding a three-over par 75, moving 12 spots up to T58th.
Monika Hartl shot a 77 (+5) to remain in the top 25 of the individual standings, while Pilar Berchot shot an 81 (+9) in round two.
NC State will close out play in Colorado Wednesday in an 11 a.m. shotgun start, and will tee off holes 8-12 with Nebraska, Delaware and SMU.
