Wolfpack Opens ACC Schedule Saturday Evening in Raleigh

RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (2-1-1) opens Atlantic Coast Conference play at home on Saturday evening when Boston College (4-0-0) comes to Raleigh. Kickoff from Dail Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 7 pm with live streaming coverage provided by ACCNX.

SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 6-8-3)
-NC State won the last meeting between the teams, defeating Boston College 3-1 in Raleigh in the first round of the ACC Championship on Oct. 31, 2018.
-Boston College defeated the Wolfpack during the regular season last year, winning 1-0 in Chestnut Hill on Oct. 5.
-The last three meetings between the teams have been split evenly at 1-1-1.
-In the last three Raleigh meetings, NC State is 2-0-1 against the Eagles.

UNDER PRESSURE
NC State has kept its opponents under significant pressure during all four matches this season. The Wolfpack is averaging 15.5 shots per match compared to 6.5 for its opponents and is only allowing 0.75 goals per contest.

EVEN OR AHEAD
Aside from the match-winning goal in the second overtime period of a 1-0 loss to St. John's on Sept. 1, NC State has to date played the entire 2019 season even or ahead of its opponents. The Wolfpack has held a lead for 93 minutes so far this season.
