
Women’s Soccer Travels To Minnesota Thursday

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer (3-2-0) is back in action Thursday when it travels to Minnesota (0-4-2) to face its second B1G opponent of the season. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. ET from the Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., and the match will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
SERIES HISTORY
Thursday will be the third meeting in program history between the Pack and Gophers, with NC State owning a 1-0-1 advantage. The last time the squads met was in the NCAA First Round on Nov. 12, 2016, when the Pack advanced on penalty kicks (4-2) after a scoreless decision.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State dominated Duquesne at home on Sunday in its last time out, 3-0. It was a milestone day for Lulu Guttenberger and Jameese Joesph, as both netted their first career goals.
Additionally, goalkeepers Jessica Berlin and Eden Millan combined for the team's second shutout of the year.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Starting Thursday, five of the Pack's next six matches are on the road. After its home match with Furman on Sept. 15, NC State travels to East Carolina Sept. 18 then opens its ACC schedule at No. 11 Duke (Sept. 22), No. 1 North Carolina (Sept. 26) and Wake Forest (Sept. 29).
SCOUTING MINNESOTA
The Gophers are still looking for their first win of the year and are on a three-game loss streak.
Mackenzie Langdok leads the team with two goals scored on the year, while three others have also found the back of the net this year.
Last season Minnesota captured the Big Ten Championship and advanced to the NCAA Second Round in Los Angeles, finishing with a 12-9-2 record.

NC State returns home Sunday to face Furman in a 1 p.m. matchup at Dail Soccer Stadium in Raleigh, N.C. The contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network, its first of four matches this year on the network.
