HISTORIC SEASON FOR THE PACK
The 2019 campaign has brought the program to new heights. The Pack broke the program records for number of total wins and number of ACC wins. In addition, the team has continued to climb the Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, reaching its highest ranking in school history at No. 9.
NC State handed No. 11 Florida its fourth home loss in 20 years at the time to advance to the ITA National Indoor Championship in Seattle, Wash., for the first time in program history.
Individually, senior Amanda Rebol broke the school record for career singles wins, eclipsing Joelle Kissell's previous record of 87 wins.
Teammate Anna Rogers earned the highest Oracle/ITA Division I Singles Ranking in school history, checking in at No. 8.
(ACC)OLADES
Simon Earnshaw was named the 2019 ACC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year in his fifth season with the Pack. He is just the second coach in program history to garner Coach of the Year honors (Jenny Garrity, 1998).
Rogers earned First Team All-ACC status after an impressive season on court one. The first-team appointment was the first for the program since teams began to be distinguished in 2014. The junior has collected 16 ranked singles wins, including a win over second-ranked Estela Perez-Somarriba.
Alana Smith, a five-time ACC Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week, garnered second team all-conference honors, becoming the first freshman to do so since Rogers in 2017. The Fort Washington, Md., native did not lose a singles match in March and recorded a top-10 win against No. 10 Marta Gonzalez of Georgia in her 2019 campaign.
Rogers and Smith compete in doubles together on court one. The duo has combined for 30 wins this season and boasts a 30-5 record. Tallying 12 ranked doubles victories, they have defeated two top-five opponents (No. 4 Leduc/Navarro – Clemson, No. 5 Koch/Khmelnitckaia – Kansas).
PACK AGAINST THE FIELD
NC State faced 15 of the 64 teams in the field over the course of the season, posting a 10-6 record in the category.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS
The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 12 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings.
Rogers checks in at No. 10 in the singles rankings, marking the fourth consecutive week she has stood in the top 10 of the singles rankings. The junior has won seven of her last 10 matches, defeating five of eight ranked opponents during that stretch.
Smith is ranked 71st in the singles rankings.
In doubles, Rogers and Smith are the seventh-ranked duo, tying the highest doubles ranking in program history (Sanaa Bhambri and Sandgya Nagaraj, Rogers and Claudia Wiktorin).
NCAA CHAMPIONSIPS SINGLES AND DOUBLES BIDS
NC State will be represented by Rogers and Smith at the 2019 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships as the duo received at-large bids to compete in the doubles draw and Rogers also earned a selection to the singles draw. Based on the seeding of the tournament, Rogers and Smith will become the first All-Americans in program history.
NC State has been represented in singles and doubles in the same season only once before 2019, as Sanaa Bhambri qualified in singles and was joined in the doubles draw by Sandhya Nagaraj (2011).

Rogers will be a part of a field of 64 singles players that are set to compete in the single-elimination tournament. Her singles bid is the seventh in the history of the program and the first since Martina Frantova in 2016.
The announcement marks Rogers' third consecutive doubles selection. The junior has advanced to the Sweet 16 in her first two seasons of competition. In 2018, she became the first NC State player to be a two-time participant in the NCAA Doubles Championship.
The singles and doubles championships will be played at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla., from May 20-25 following the conclusion of the team championships on May 19.
