Stellar Seniors
The 2019 class is the second class in program history to post four double-digit win seasons. It had only previously been done by the 1989 class.
All three seniors rank in the top 10 in the NC State record books in career singles wins and career doubles wins.
Making History
Winning nine ACC matches so far this season, the Pack made program history with a 7-0 sweep at Pittsburgh to eclipse the former program-best seven conference wins in a season.
NC State could make more history this weekend, as its 19 wins is tied for the program record. A win would set the new standard for wins in a season.
Pack Against Ranked Opponents
NC State has defeated eight ranked opponents this season, including defeating the last four it has faced (No. 49 Louisville, No. 44 Notre Dame, No. 25 Miami, No. 28 Syracuse). When the Pack wins the doubles point against ranked opponents, the squad is undefeated (5-0).
Pack in the Rankings
The NC State women's tennis team holds steady at the No. 10 spot in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, as announced Tuesday. Anna Rogers, tabbed at No. 15, earns the highest singles ranking in program history for the Pack.
In singles, the rankings feature three NC State players: No. 15 Rogers, No. 75 Alana Smith, and No. 112 Adriana Reami.
Rogers and Smith are the ninth-ranked doubles duo in the nation.
Win Streaks
NC State is currently on a nine-match winning streak, and five individuals hold winning streaks: Rogers (eight), Smith (seven), Rebol (seven), and Moldovan (two).
The Pack started its season on a six-match winning streak to give the program its best start to date.
A^2
Rogers and Smith have been a force in doubles and play on courts one and two in singles. The duo holds a 26-3 record on the season, including a 9-1 record against nationally ranked opponents.
Together, the junior and senior have taken down two top-five doubles squads (No. 5 Janet Koch and Nina Khmelnitckaia – Kansas, No. 4 Marie Leduc and Fernanda Navarro – Clemson).
