INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The USATF national team coaching and support staffs have been announced for five international competitions in 2019, and NC State track and field assistant coach Chris Coleman was included in the announcement as an assistant coach (jumps) for the Pan American U20 Championships.
The championships will be held in San José, Costa Rica, from July 19-21, 2019.
"It's an honor and a privilege to represent Team USA at the Pan American U20 Championships. This is my first team appointment, so I'm looking forward to the opportunity of working with our future Olympians," Coleman said.
Coleman most recently guided Jamar Davis to Second Team All-American honors in triple jump in the 2019 indoor season. Davis was the only freshman to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in men's triple jump and also garnered First Team All-ACC honors in long jump and triple jump after impressive second-place finishes in both events.
Since Coleman's arrival in 2007, the Pack has earned nine All-American honors and 11 ACC titles in jumps.
