13 Pack Gymnasts Named to All-EAGL Scholastic Team

BALTIMORE, MD. --Â The No. 27 NC State gymnastics team features 13 gymnasts on the All-EAGL Scholastic Team for the 2018 calendar year, as announced by the conference Wednesday. Nine of NC State's 13 honorees have garnered the accolade multiple times.
The team features 86 student-athletes from the EAGL's six member schools.Â
In order to be honored as a Scholastic Team member, a gymnast must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above after the 2018 calendar year GPA is factored in. Freshmen are eligible with Fall 2018 semester grades only.
"This team takes a great deal of pride in excelling both academically and athletically. To have 13 student-athletes be recognized on the All-Scholastic team speaks volumes of their dedication and commitment in all that they do. I am extremely proud of their efforts and I am glad that each of them has earned this well-deserved honor. They are true scholar-athletes," said head coach Kim Landrus.
Seniors Maggie Tamburro and Caitlyn Fillard have earned All-Scholastic status all four years, while juniors Drew Grantham, Hailey Mesmer, and Melissa Brooker have collected the honor three times.
Receiving recognition for a second time is Victoria Prati, Kasey Nelson, Lauren Kent, and Paris Phillips.
Freshmen Meredith Robinson, Alexis Sheppard, Haley Zarett, and Alliah Harrison round out the accolades.
