RALEIGH, N.C. – The ACC announced the seeds and brackets for the 2019 ACC Wrestling Championship, which will be hosted by Virginia Tech this Saturday in Blacksburg in Cassell Coliseum.
The 2019 co-ACC regular season champions with a 4-1 mark, NC State earned a pair of No. 1 seeds, at 141 (R-Sr. Jamel Morris) and at 157 pounds (R-So. Hayden Hidlay).
All six ACC schools have at least one No. 1 seed. Virginia Tech (165, 174 and 184 pounds) led the way with three, followed by NC State and Virginia (125 and 197 pounds) with a pair. Duke (149), North Carolina (285) and Pitt (133) all had one.
In addition, the Pack had a pair of No. 2 seeds (R-Sr. Sean Fausz at 125 and R-So. Tariq Wilson at 133), as the top two seeds in each weight class will have a bye into the semifinals.
Every match on Saturday will be streamed on ACC Network Extra. The first round starts at 11 a.m., and the finals are set to begin at 7 p.m. Fans can also follow NC State Wrestling on twitter at @PackWrestle for updates throughout the day.
