NC State Leads Way in EAGL with 20 All-Conference Honors

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The NC State gymnastics team had 10 gymnasts earn All-EAGL honors for the 2019 season, as announced by the conference Monday. The defending conference champion Wolfpack collected 20 total accolades, the most for the program since 2008.

The 20 accolades are the most for an EAGL team this season.

Drew Grantham led the way with five honors for the Pack, including three first-team honors (vault, floor, all-around). Earning first-team status on bars and in all-around competition, Caitlyn Fillard garnered four total accolades.

Alexa Phillips (vault, floor) and Paris Phillips (floor) were both first-team selections, and both collected two total All-EAGL honors. Garnering first-team honors on floor, Nicole Webb earned two spots on the all-conference team.

Maggie Tamburro was named a first-team honoree on bars, and Lauren Kent earned the first, first-team honors accolade of her career on bars. Melissa Brooker was also named to the second-team for the Pack on bars.

Freshmen Alliah Harrison and Meredith Robinson earned second-team All-EAGL honors on beam and bars respectively.

First-team All-EAGL on each event and in all-around lists the top-eight ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the 11-week regular season. Second-team All-EAGL on each event and in all-around lists No. 9 – No. 16 ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the regular season.
