MEET NOTEBOOK:
NC State's women have won three ACC team titles in the history of the conference meet. The Pack last took home first place as a team in 2017, the program's first title since 1980. In 2018, the Wolfpack women won gold in four events at the ACC Championships on the way to placing third as a team at the meet. It was the Pack's third straight top-three finish at the conference meet.
The Wolfpack owns titles in 82 events since the inception of the conference meet in 1979. NC State's women also hold a pair of ACC Championships records heading into this season's competition. The 200-yard medley relay time was set by NC State's winning squad in 2017, and alumna Alexia Zevnik still owns the meet record in the 200-yard individual medley from her first-place finish two seasons ago.
NC State has seen its women win back-to-back titles in a pair of events – the 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard medley relay.
2018-19 IN REVIEW:
The Wolfpack women head into the postseason with a 5-1 record in head-to-head matchups and a perfect 3-0 record in ACC dual meets. NC State's only loss during the 2018-19 regular season came at the hands of Texas, a squad that was ranked No. 1 in the nation at the time.
NC State picked up wins over three opponents that were ranked at the time of competition, beating No. 22 Duke, No. 24 South Carolina and No. 5 Virginia.
The Pack has been ranked in the top 11 of the CSCAA/TYR Top 25 for the entirety of the season and has been featured in the top nine in the last five national polls. The Wolfpack women tied their season-high ranking of No. 4 in the latest poll, making them the highest-ranked team in the conference entering the ACC Championships.
SUCCESS UNDER HOLLOWAY:
Since Braden Holloway took over as head coach at the start of the 2011-12 season, the Wolfpack has enjoyed unparalleled success in the pool.
During the 2010-11 season, NC State placed eighth at the ACC Championships and scored zero points at the NCAA Championships. Since then, NC State's women have secured three straight top-three finishes at the ACC Championships, including winning the conference crown in 2017. The Wolfpack women have also finished inside the top 20 at the NCAA Championships for five seasons in a row and earned a program-best No. 7 national finish in 2017.
THE PACK IS BACK:
A pair of NC State's individual ACC Champions from the 2017-18 season return to the roster this season.
Elise Haan took home gold in the 100-yard backstroke at the 2018 ACC Championships, touching the wall in 50.75 for the win. Her best time in the event last season (50.42) was the conference's fastest time posted last season.
Diver Madeline Kline also posted a win at last season's ACC Championships as she placed first on the platform. After advancing out of the prelims as the top qualifier, Kline secured gold with a winning mark of 258.40 in the finals.

Her 4:05.60 NCAA B cut stands atop the conference, and three other Wolfpack women follow behind her as the Pack owns the top four marks in the event headed into the ACC Championships.

Haan, the defending 100-yard backstroke ACC champion, will come into the meet as a favorite to repeat as a titlist as her 51.24 mark ranks No. 1 in the conference. Muzzy's 1:51.58 200-yard backstroke time is the fastest clocked by an ACC female swimmer this season.
Freshman Sophie Hansson holds top marks in both breaststroke events. Her 100-yard breaststroke time of 58.44 is not only an NCAA A cut but was also the fastest time in NC State history. She has impressed in the stroke all season, as her 2:09.39 200-yard breaststroke time also stands atop the ACC.
