No. 15 Rifle Set for Trip to The Citadel this Weekend

Wolfpack makes second trip of the season to Charleston
RALEIGH, N.C. – The 15th-ranked NC State rifle team will travel to Charleston, S.C., for the second time this season for a matchup against The Citadel. Action is slated to start at 8 a.m. Saturday morning inside the Inuoye Marksmanship Center.

Last Time Out
In its last outing, NC State was outdone by No. 10 Nebraska in Lincoln but the Wolfpack's Emily Fisher had a career day. The freshman led all individuals in the smallbore competition with a career-best score of 579.

She also fired the Pack's highest mark in air rifle and recorded a personal best in the aggregate with a score of 1163 to finish third among the top individuals.

NC State charted a score of 4658 in its last trip to The Citadel for the season opener, which was the second-highest mark for the program in a season opener. It also stands as the Wolfpack's second-best score of the season to this point.

The Wolfpack earned its highest score of the year in Annapolis, Md., with a 4664 to defeat 10th-ranked Akron in a neutral site matchup.
