
Hayden and Trent Hidlay Place Second at Cliff Keen Invite

R-Jr. Hayden Hidlay (157) and his brother R-Fr. Trent Hidlay (184) both were runner-ups in their weight class. R-Jr. Thomas Bullard (165) scored a pin in his final bout to bring home a third place finish, while classmate Tariq Wilson (141) was seventh.
Hayden Hidlay fell in the finals to #2 Ryan Deakin of Northwestern. Deakin scored takedowns in both the first and the second periods and scored a 6-2 win.
In his semifinal bout, Hayden Hidlay dominated in an 8-0 major decision over #8 Coleman of Purdue. Hidlay scored a takedown in all three periods, and tallied 3:15 of ride time for the bonus point win to push him into the finals.

In his semifinal bout, Trent Hidlay picked up this third top-five win of the season, downing #3 Taylor Lujan of Northern Iowa 8-4. Hidlay scored a pair of takedowns in the first period, including the first only 15 seconds in, then secured the win with a third period takedown and the ride time point.

Bullard started with a 3-0 win over Castro of The Citadel. Up 1-0 entering the third, Bullard scored the bout's lone takedown with 30 seconds left.
One of the wildest bouts pushed Bullard into the 3rd/4th place match, as he scored a top-10 win to advance. Bullard used a pair of six-point moves in the first period, and then a ride out in the third to score an 18-6 major decision over #8 Fogarty of North Dakota State.

Wilson opened the morning session with a 4-2 win over Sparacio of Binghamton. Wilson scored a takedown 20 seconds in and accumulated almost two minutes of ride time.
Wilson fell into the 7th/8th place match after he gave up late takedowns in the first and second period and fell to Northern Iowa's Blockhus 6-4.
